What You Should Know:

– Ochsner Health, a prominent healthcare provider in the Gulf South announced a strategic partnership with DeepScribe, a leader in ambient AI clinical documentation,

– The strategic collaboration will see DeepScribe’s AI-powered technology implemented across Ochsner Health’s network of 46 hospitals and 370 health and urgent care centers.

Deploying Ambient AI Across Enterprise

DeepScribe’s technology automatically transcribes and documents patient conversations, providing clinicians with real-time insights and freeing them to focus on patient care. Ochsner Health’s decision to adopt this technology underscores its commitment to improving patient outcomes and enhancing clinician efficiency.

Key Benefits of the Partnership:

  • Enhanced patient experience: By freeing clinicians from documentation burdens, providers can devote more time to patient interaction.
  • Improved clinical efficiency: Automated documentation streamlines workflows and reduces administrative tasks.
  • Data-driven insights: Real-time insights derived from patient conversations can inform care decisions.
  • Customization: DeepScribe’s AI technology can be tailored to meet the specific needs of different medical specialties.

Initital Pilot Results

Ochsner Health’s adoption of DeepScribe is expected to significantly improve efficiency, enhance patient satisfaction, and drive better clinical outcomes. Initial results indicate a 75% clinician adoption rate and a 96% patient satisfaction rating with the technology.

“Before using DeepScribe, I spent at least two to three hours a day preparing for visits and then going back and editing notes based on patient conversations,” explained Dr. Terrance Wickman, an Ochsner Health nephrologist. “Now, I have been able to streamline that into three to four minutes per note. So documentation takes me about a quarter of the time.”
