Steward Health Care System to Deploy MEDITECH Expanse EHR Across 35 Hospitals

– Steward Health Care System recently signed to implement MEDITECH Expanse EHR in 18 sites located across Arizona, Texas, Utah, Arkansas, and Louisiana.

 

– The implementation is a part of Steward’s “One Platform” strategy to bring all 35 hospitals under a one single, integrated, enterprise EHR.

 

Health IT company MEDITECH announces it will extend its 20-year partnership with Steward Health Care System, which recently signed to implement the MEDITECH Expanse EHR platform in 18 sites located across Arizona, Texas, Utah, Arkansas and Louisiana. The Steward network includes multiple urgent care centers and skilled nursing facilities, substantial behavioral health services, over 7,900 beds under management, and approximately 2.2 million full risk covered lives through the company’s managed care and health insurance services.

 

Steward’s “One Platform” Strategy

 

This decision is a part of Steward’s “One Platform” strategy to bring all 35 hospitals under a single, integrated, enterprise EHR. MEDITECH Expanse is a next-generated, web-based EHR platform spans every care setting and provides a full view of the patient’s story. MEDITECH Expanse includes customizable patient trackers and status boards, real-time notifications, embedded best-practice content, and clinical decision support tools With a consolidated EHR, Steward can streamline communication across all facilities, improving patient care and increasing patient safety.
