Capital Health's Specialized Rehab to Implement InterSystems EMR to Become Digital Hospital

Capital Health’s Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), a United Arab Emirates-based 166-bed specialty hospital has selected Intersystems to become a fully digital hospital. SRH will implement the InterSystems TrakCare EMR system to support the clinicians in making better informed decisions and improving patient safety.

In addition, the TrakCare will also enable SRH to create a consolidated view of each patient’s history on any authorized Internet-connected device.

SRH is managed and operated by Capital Health, a UAE-based private healthcare group with the overall objective of building a healthcare platform with a focus on physician-led patient experience and quality.

SRH will be offering the whole continuum of rehabilitation care for all ages including sub-acute, long term, outpatient as well as home care rehabilitation services. Specialized therapeutic services will be provided in multiple dedicated therapy areas by best-in-class physical medicine physicians (Physiatrists), Rehabilitation Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Recreational Therapists as well as Social Service/Case Managers. In addition to the specialized rehabilitation services, the hospital will offer full-fledged 24-hour critical care units (ICUs and PICUs).

“Our main focus is to enable our patients retain their abilities to the greatest extent possible so that they can lead a better life,” said Dr Mishal Alkasimi, CEO of Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital. “Real-time patient information is crucial for our medical staff to make informed decisions and that is what we are going to achieve with the deployment of InterSystems TrakCare in our hospitals.”
