Health Wildcatters, a mentorship-driven healthcare seed accelerator has unveiled nine new health IT companies selected to participate in the 2017 accelerator program. With the addition of these 10 healthcare startups, which comprise Health Wildcatters’ third class, the program’s portfolio totals 32 companies spanning the healthcare spectrum.

Each selected health IT startup will participate in the 12 week accelerator program receiving $30k in exchange for 8% equity stake. During the program, the startups will be paired with appropriate mentors and partners to validate their business model, product development and business development. The program’s final event is a “Pitch Day” on November 8, 2017, at the Majestic Theater, where startups will pitch to an audience of investors and the Dallas community.

Upon graduation of this fifth class, the Health Wildcatters’ portfolio will include 51 companies spanning the healthcare spectrum. The ultimate goal is to further enable each startup to raise additional funds following the accelerator program so they can ultimately have an impact on the healthcare industry.

“This is a unique class we have this year with the majority of startups being in the medical device space,” said Hubert Zajicek, CEO of Health Wildcatters in a statement. “We look forward to watching as they work through their unique business models and developing these devices that could change the healthcare industry drastically.”

Since 2013, 42 companies have graduated our accelerator program and raised over $23M to grow and scale.
