PEPID Partners With AAEM to Allow Physicians to Earn CME Credits

PEPID, a provider of in point-of-care technologies for the healthcare industry, has partnered with The American Academy of Emergency Medicine (AAEM) to release PEPID CME, a new tool will allow physicians the ability to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit while actually treating patients.

This partnership provides clinicians with an alternative to the more expensive and time-consuming options currently available. PEPID CME capitalizes on PEPID’s vast clinical and drug information resources, allowing physicians the ability to earn CME credit while using PEPID in the emergency department. Clinicians who have been using these evidence-based resources will now be able to combine education with clinical knowledge at the patient’s bedside.

“This is one of the most exciting product features that we offer,” said John Wagner, president of PEPID. “We’re giving physicians an opportunity to obtain these mandatory credits that’s effective, convenient, and affordable. For us, PEPID CME is an extension of our overall mission, which is to find ways that technology can provide clinicians with the resources they need to improve patient care.”

AAEM is a non-profit professional association of over 8,000 emergency physicians dedicated to fair and equitable practice environments, physician advocacy, and continuing medical education.
