DR Systems

Dr. Murray Reicher has been named CEO of DR Systems, Inc., where he succeeds Rick Porritt, who has retired after 20 years with the company. Dr. Reicher co-founded DR Systems in 1992 and has been instrumental in the company’s growth to become an industry leader in PACS, RIS, EHR and medical image exchange.

As CEO, Dr. Reicher will continue to focus on partnering with healthcare organizations to improve their clinical and financial success.

“Every day we commit ourselves to solving challenges the industry faces with imaging workflow, from reading efficiency, to interoperability, to patient engagement and more,” Dr. Reicher said. “People have come to expect quality and innovation from DR Systems. That’s who we are and that will never change.”

One of Dr. Reicher’s key principles in founding the company was to rely on customer collaboration as a resource for streamlining and otherwise improving the company’s products.

“For me and many people in the healthcare industry, Murray Reicher is DR Systems,” said long-time customer Gary K. Wilde, President and CEO of Community Memorial Health System. “Having seen the customer collaboration and technology of DR Systems in two different hospitals I headed, I feel Dr. Reicher’s transition to CEO is a very positive move.”

The company’s technology is designed for radiology, pathology, cardiology, anesthesiology and other medical fields where streamlined, comprehensive systems that improve workflow are essential to better care.

During Porritt’s term, the company received six Best in KLAS PACS awardsi, far surpassing any other vendor in that market segmentation. The awards acknowledged the company’s innovative technology and top-rated customer service.

“We are very grateful for Rick Porritt’s contributions over the past two decades,” Dr. Reicher said. “The length of tenure of our management and employees is unique in the industry, so this transition reflects the stability and continuity that our customers expect.”
