Samsung Health Assistant Beta Launches in US with Xealth Integration and AI Energy Scoring

What You Should Know

  • Samsung has rolled out a beta version of its AI-powered Samsung Health Assistant within the Samsung Health app for eligible U.S. users.
  •  The assistant unifies scattered data streams across sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals to deliver personalized recommendations and explain how lifestyle metrics interact.
  • Integrates continuous biometric monitoring from Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring devices to calculate a daily Energy Score (requiring previous-day sleep, activity, and sleeping heart rate).
  • In tandem with the assistant, Samsung is leveraging its acquisition of Xealth to securely connect user-consented consumer wellness insights directly to clinical health system care teams.
  • Future roadmap updates will tap Samsung’s Personal Data Engine (PDE) to factor in calendar events and habits, while strictly operating as a non-diagnostic wellness guide validated by physicians and health coaches.

How Samsung Health Assistant & Xealth Bridge Consumer Wearables to Clinical Care

To unify biometric tracking and establish a clear bridge between personal wellness and clinical workflows, Samsung has introduced its AI-powered Samsung Health Assistant in beta for eligible U.S. users.

By synthesizing data across five core wellness pillars, the platform transitions wearable tracking from passive data collection into an interactive conversational dialogue.

Concurrently, Samsung is integrating its acquisition of Xealth to enable user-consented data sharing directly with hospital care teams.

“Our new Health Assistant advances Samsung’s vision for Connected Care by giving users a deeper understanding of their mind and body through daily health monitoring and increasing opportunities for early detection,” stated Dr. Hon Pak, Senior Vice President and Head of Digital Health Team at Samsung Mobile eXperience Business. “By leveraging our ecosystem and partnerships, we aim to deliver a holistic understanding of health and drive real action.”

The Personal Data Engine and Xealth Integration

Samsung Health Assistant acts as an intelligence and orchestration layer operating on top of hardware sensors and personal data streams:

  • 5-Pillar Data Fusion: Integrates data across sleep, activity, nutrition, mindfulness, and vitals to explain multi-variable interactions (e.g., how poor sleep impairs daily cardiovascular load or recovery).
  • Algorithmic Energy Score: Requires Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Ring synchronization to calculate daily readiness based on previous-day activity, sleep stages, and sleeping heart rate.
  • Personal Data Engine (PDE) Contextualization: Leverages device-level context, including calendar events, schedule changes, and travel patterns, to offer real-time behavioral nudges (such as stress management prior to high-workload meetings).
  • Clinical Export Rail (Xealth): Facilitates secure, user-consented transmission of validated health insights directly into provider EHRs, allowing care teams to track longitudinal health trends at scale.
