GE HealthCare Unveils MIM Anyware to Extend Remote Imaging Access and Real-Time Care Collaboration

  • Bringing a “shared document” model to clinical environments, the platform enables multiple physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists to join the same session simultaneously to execute workflow deployments, review image registrations, and assess dose distributions in real time.
  • Designed specifically to address the complex requirements of cancer care, MIM Anyware streamlines cross-departmental consultations, referrals, medical student training, and multi-specialty tumor board reviews.
  • The solution works alongside GE HealthCare’s broader MIM portfolio—including MIM Maestro™ (for reirradiation and composite plan assessments) and MIM Contour ProtégéAI+™ 2.0 (featuring upgraded MR Brain and CT Male Pelvis auto-segmentation models).
  • By providing zero-footprint web access, the system bypasses traditional virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) limitations, isolated reading rooms, and heavy local client maintenance requirements.

Real-Time Multi-User Processing

The technical strategy driving MIM Anyware moves away from simple, passive screen-sharing overlays to enforce a fully interactive, concurrent clinical execution environment. By hosting the computational load within secure, system-controlled servers, the web interface allows multiple authorized stakeholders—including radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and diagnostic radiologists—to enter the exact same live session simultaneously.

Within this unified virtual room, care teams can execute complex clinical processing tasks together in real time:

Clinicians can visualize prior external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) plan doses directly on current patient scans while accounting for radiobiological effects to optimize personalized retreatment strategies.
  • MIM Contour ProtégéAI+™ 2.0: Represents the latest generation of AI-enabled auto-contouring software, introducing expanded deep learning models—including a Magnetic Resonance (MR) Brain model and an updated Computed Tomography (CT) Male Pelvis model—to accelerate organ-at-risk segmentation.
