What You Should Know

  • The Expanded Partnership: GE HealthCare has expanded its collaboration with DeepHealth (a subsidiary of RadNet) to further the commercialization and adoption of advanced AI-powered mammography tools. The announcement was made in conjunction with the 2026 Society of Breast Imaging (SBI) Annual Symposium.
  • The Core Technology: The joint initiative integrates DeepHealth’s AI-powered Breast Suite workflow solution with GE HealthCare’s Senographe Pristina™ mammography system.
  • New App Rollout: The expanded collaboration allows GE HealthCare to distribute new DeepHealth applications, including Safeguard Review, an AI-powered workflow that flags complex cases that may benefit from a secondary review, specifically targeting women with dense breast tissue.

Transforming Detection with the Breast Suite

The Breast Suite is a modular, cloud-based collection of interoperable applications that integrate directly into the Senographe Pristina™ mammography system. This AI-driven workflow has demonstrated significant clinical impact in large-scale real-world analyses:

  • Higher Detection Rates: Clinical studies have shown a 21% increase in breast cancer detection rates compared to the standard of care.
  • Dense Breast Performance: For women with dense breasts, the multi-stage AI workflow increased detection by 23%.
  • Real-Time Alerts: The “Timely Alerts” feature notifies clinical sites of potentially suspicious cases within minutes.

Key Components of the Expanded AI Offering

The collaboration introduces new applications designed for seamless compatibility with GE HealthCare systems:

  • ProFound Pro: Combines clinical AI for automatic lesion localization with degree-of-suspicion scoring, ensuring effective detection across diverse populations.
  • Automated Density Assessment: Provides consistent, patient-centric density classification to support objective diagnostic decisions.
  • Safeguard Review: An optional AI-powered secondary review workflow that flags complex cases for further physician evaluation.
  • Cloud-First Viewer: A multi-modality viewer that provides instant access to images from any location, improving operational flexibility.

“By integrating Breast Suite AI with our Pristina Via™ mammography system, we’re helping clinicians detect breast cancer early with greater confidence,” said Jyoti Gupta, PhD, President and CEO of Women’s Health and X-ray at GE HealthCare.
