Samsung and Pearson Partner to Launch AI-Enabled Revibe Wearable for Focus and Attention
Introducing Revibe: Pearson’s AI-enabled wearable, powered by Samsung’s Galaxy Watch and Knox Manage, helps students with focus and attention challenges.

What You Should Know:

– Samsung Electronics, a world leader in consumer electronics, is collaborating with Pearson, the world’s lifelong learning company.

– Pearson has introduced Revibe, an AI-enabled wearable solution delivered via the Samsung Galaxy Watch7, to help individuals build crucial skills in focus, attention, and self-regulation.

Addressing the Challenges of Focus and Attention

Challenges with focus and attention are common among both children and adults, severely impacting a person’s ability to plan tasks, complete work, and finish assignments. For children, limited focus can inhibit their educational, social, and emotional development. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing innovation and creating inclusive, accessible solutions for individuals navigating focus and attention-related challenges. Revibe offers users, families, educators, and clinicians a user-friendly dashboard that visualizes progress in near real time, which facilitates customized support in the classroom and beyond.

AI and Security: The Power of the Galaxy Watch7 Platform

Revibe functions as a discreet, real-time tool that tracks key behaviors, including on-task behavior, fidgeting, work completion, and exercise. By leveraging AI, the platform translates real-time behavioral data into actionable insights, equipping users and professionals with data-informed pathways to improve concentration. The solution combines Pearson’s proprietary, attention-enhancing software with the Galaxy Watch7’s hardware and security platform.

Key technological features of the collaboration include:

  • Learning Engine: Revibe uses AI and advanced algorithms to learn each user’s behavior patterns, including attention span, fidgeting, steps, and calories burned.
  • Customized Alerts: Vibrating alerts bring the user back on task and bolster executive function. On-screen “light bulb moments” provide guidance without disturbing others.
  • Secure & Distraction-Free: The platform utilizes Samsung’s Knox mobile security platform and Freestanding Mode. Freestanding Mode is particularly important for children, as it eliminates smartphone distractions by allowing the Galaxy Watch to operate independently, a necessary feature since many schools do not allow children to carry phones. Kiosk Mode further ensures the Watch is focused solely on the Revibe application.

Rich Brancaccio, Senior Director and Founder of Revibe at Pearson, noted that the Galaxy Watch was selected because it offered the ideal balance of a low-distraction interface, extended battery life, and secure data collection capabilities to help individuals reach their fullest potential. The partnership will begin with the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 series and is expected to expand to additional Samsung devices.
