What You Should Know:

–  Bonsai Health, the agentic AI platform transforming healthcare’s front office, today announced it has raised $7 million in seed funding led by Bonfire Ventures and Wonder Ventures. Since launching, Bonsai has engaged more than 182,000 patients across 100+ healthcare groups and specialty practices and scheduled over 29,000 appointments—helping patients receive timely care while automatically filling practice calendars.

– Patients too often slip through the cracks—not because they don’t want care, but because front office teams are overwhelmed and forced to manage everything manually. Staff spend hours each week pulling reports, answering phones, leaving voicemails, and chasing down no-shows.

Bonsai Health Launches Agentic AI Platform to Transform Front Office Operations in Healthcare

Founded in 2024 by PatientPop co-founders Travis Schneider and Luke Kervin, Bonsai Health is introducing a new era of front office automation through its agentic AI platform. Designed with specialty-trained autonomous agents, the platform seamlessly manages patient outreach, care coordination, and appointment scheduling—reducing administrative burden while keeping patients consistently connected to care.

Addressing the Front Office Bottleneck

In today’s practices, staff are overwhelmed with repetitive tasks and limited time, making it difficult to track which patients need follow-up. This leads to widening treatment gaps, poorer outcomes, and accelerating burnout among care teams.

Bonsai Health tackles this challenge by deploying autonomous AI agents that operate continuously in the background. These agents analyze practice data in real time, identify overdue or at-risk patients, re-engage them with personalized outreach, and schedule visits directly into the EHR.

Delivering Measurable Outcomes

Bonsai’s AI-driven approach creates tangible benefits for both patients and practices by:

  • Closing gaps in care to keep patients on track with their health needs.
  • Improving front office efficiency by eliminating manual, repetitive work.
  • Driving sustainable growth by converting patient data into predictable, recurring revenue.

“Patients often miss care simply because practices don’t have the time or tools to consistently reach them. With Bonsai, our autonomous agents take that work off staff’s plate, ensuring patients stay on track while practices thrive,” said Travis Schneider, co-founder and co-CEO of Bonsai Health.

By modernizing how care is delivered, scheduled, and experienced, Bonsai Health is turning every appointment into an opportunity to change a life.
