What You Should Know:

– The Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH), in partnership with Bamboo Health, has officially launched DTRN360, a new behavioral healthcare coordination platform.

– The platform is designed to connect providers, improve care transitions, and reduce silos across the state’s behavioral health system.

Bridge Care Gaps

Powered by the Bamboo Intelligence Hub™, DTRN360 is the result of a multi-year effort to bring together treatment providers, state agencies, and care teams through a unified digital platform. The platform supports real-time communication and care coordination and is fully integrated into provider workflows. This allows users to manage referrals, view shared treatment history, and identify the best next step in care.

“This isn’t just about technology. It’s about helping providers work together more easily to support the people we serve,” said Michelle Singletary-Twyman, Director of Operations at DSAMH.

A Strategic Evolution of Care

The launch of DTRN360 builds on a long-standing partnership between DSAMH and Bamboo Health. In 2018, Delaware launched the Delaware Treatment and Referral Network (DTRN) using Bamboo Health’s OpenBeds® technology to digitize behavioral health referrals. This system has since facilitated over 250,000 referrals, improving the speed and accuracy of care connections. The partnership was further expanded in 2023 with the addition of Bamboo’s Crisis Management System, which enhanced coordination between crisis responders and treatment providers.

Now, with DTRN360, providers with legal authorization can coordinate care more effectively through key features:

  • Access to history: Providers can see a patient’s relevant health and behavioral health history, reducing the reliance on patients to recall complex care details during vulnerable moments.
  • Integrated workflows: The platform works within existing clinical workflows, eliminating the need for extra logins or standalone portals.
  • Real-time alerts: Providers receive real-time alerts to prompt proactive follow-up and outreach.
  • Referral tracking: The platform tracks referrals and placements across the care continuum to ensure warm handoffs.
  • Community connections: DTRN360 connects users with services addressing social determinants of health, such as housing, food insecurity, and peer support.
