What You Should Know:

–  Eko Health, a leader in AI-powered cardiac and pulmonary care, announced today that its telehealth platform is now used by health systems that operate over 800 hospitals across the U.S.

–  By enabling the real-time streaming of high-fidelity heart and lung sounds, Eko is helping virtual care teams deliver more confident frontline diagnostics from anywhere.

Eko Health Expands Remote Diagnostic Capabilities with Web-Based Telehealth Platform

Eko Health, a leader in AI-driven early disease detection, continues to redefine how clinicians detect and manage cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions through its suite of FDA-cleared digital stethoscopes, ECG devices, and AI-powered software. With over 650,000 devices deployed globally, Eko’s platform empowers providers to make faster, more accurate diagnoses and optimize treatment — ultimately enhancing patient outcomes. Headquartered in Emeryville, California, the company is advancing care delivery in both in-person and virtual environments.

To better serve enterprise health systems, Eko recently launched a fully web-based version of its diagnostic platform, complete with single sign-on (SSO) functionality for easier integration and access. Eko also joined the American Telemedicine Association (ATA), strengthening its position as a champion for open and interoperable virtual care models.“Eko Telehealth has been a game-changer,” said Katie Thorson, Manager of Virtual Health Operations at Corewell Health. “What began as a necessity has evolved into a cornerstone of our virtual care strategy.”

Eko Telehealth has emerged as a critical tool for remote clinical assessments, particularly in settings where provider access is limited. It enables real-time streaming of:

  • Heart and lung sounds
  • Phonocardiograms (PCGs)
  • ECG waveforms

These features are integrated directly into live virtual workflows and are designed to complement — not replace — existing video platforms. The system supports a wide array of use cases, including hospital-at-home programs, virtual nursing, school health clinics, correctional care, skilled nursing facilities, and remote specialty consults.

Fully interoperable with Eko’s stethoscope portfolio — the largest connected network of its kind — the telehealth platform leverages proprietary audio architecture to deliver crystal-clear auscultation, enabling clinicians to perform remote exams with diagnostic-grade precision.

By eliminating the barrier of inaudibility in virtual visits, Eko is bridging the gap between physical examination and remote care, making high-fidelity listening possible from virtually anywhere.
