What You Should Know:

–  Suki, a leader in healthcare artificial intelligence (AI), has expanded its integration with MEDITECH, a widely trusted electronic health record (EHR) platform.

–  This development positions Suki as the first to enable ambiently generated clinical notes to be directly sent into MEDITECH’s Expanse EHR, eliminating the need for copy-pasting and significantly improving documentation efficiency for clinicians.

Suki and MEDITECH Deepen Partnership to Scale Ambient AI in Clinical Documentation

Suki and MEDITECH have expanded their strategic collaboration to advance the use of ambient artificial intelligence (AI) within clinical workflows—making powerful, time-saving tools more accessible across the healthcare landscape. Building on a successful 2024 integration, this milestone enables direct, ambiently generated documentation to flow into MEDITECH’s Expanse EHR, streamlining clinical operations and significantly reducing administrative burden.

Originally launched in September 2024, the Suki-MEDITECH integration introduced ambient documentation and in-Expanse dictation capabilities to over 20 enterprise health systems. The expanded partnership now offers:

·       Real-time note generation through ambient listening during patient encounters

·       Voice-to-text dictation directly into any Expanse EHR field

·       Ambient clinical order entry, reducing documentation load even further

·       Planned integration with the Expanse Now mobile app, enhancing mobile usability

·       AI support for broader care teams, including nurses and home health professionals

These enhancements position the platform as a transformative tool for health systems of all sizes—urban or rural—seeking to improve clinician efficiency, reduce burnout, and strengthen care continuity.

Over the past year, adoption and impact have grown steadily:

·       100,000+ patient encounters completed using Suki Assistant

·       1,000+ MEDITECH Expanse providers actively leveraging the solution

“At Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, this integration supports our mission to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care,” said Dr. William Dailey, CMIO. “By reducing the documentation burden, we’re giving providers more time to focus on patients—especially in rural settings where time and resources are stretched.”

The need for solutions like Suki continues to grow. According to the Peterson Health Technology Institute, AI scribe tools have contributed to a 63% reduction in clinician burnout. Suki users report a 41% reduction in time spent on notes, translating into greater productivity and clinician well-being.

This latest announcement reinforces Suki’s role as a category leader in ambient AI. Following the debut of the industry’s first ambient-based prescription ordering feature, Suki remains at the forefront of innovation—delivering scalable, assistive technology that restores time for patient care.
