What You Should Know:

–  Ciba Health, a digital health platform focused on personalized, outcomes-based care for chronic conditions, has announced a collaboration with the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to enhance prevention and treatment strategies for type 2 diabetes.

–   This partnership brings together Ciba Health’s root-cause approach with the ADA’s national leadership in advocacy, research, and public education.

Ciba Health and American Diabetes Association Collaborate to Redefine Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Care

The collaboration aims to:

  • Advance chronic disease prevention and management by sharing evidence-based tools and insights
  • Empower communities through education targeting individuals, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Improve health access by addressing care disparities and expanding availability of personalized interventions

The ADA estimates that over 136 million Americans live with diabetes or prediabetes. With such a high burden, the partnership reflects a shared urgency to shift from reactive care to preventative, personalized models. Brandi Williams Broome, Chief Development and Delivery Officer at the ADA, emphasized the impact of scalable community-based interventions in reducing the prevalence of type 2 diabetes.

Ciba Health currently offers its services to individuals, families, and as part of employer-sponsored health benefits. Its care model integrates multidisciplinary medical teams, advanced lab diagnostics covering up to 300 biomarkers, wearable health technology, and continuous nutrition and lifestyle coaching. This comprehensive approach has led to measurable outcomes in enterprise settings, including reductions in A1C and sustained weight loss.

Dr. Innocent Clement, CEO and Founder of Ciba Health, noted that while diabetes affects one in ten Americans, type 2 diabetes is often preventable. He emphasized the importance of shifting focus from symptom management to addressing underlying causes with data-informed, patient-centered strategies.

The partnership builds on Ciba Health’s recent momentum, including a $10 million oversubscribed Series A funding round and the launch of Thrive by Ciba Health, a data-powered platform designed to optimize health and longevity. The company also earned validation from the Validation Institute for its value-based care model and plans to pursue additional collaborations aimed at improving population health.

Ciba Health continues to expand its digital care ecosystem with the goal of reversing and preventing complex chronic conditions by combining advanced diagnostics, artificial intelligence, and sustained behavioral support.
