What You Should Know:

– The American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and Wilmington Health have announced an exciting new partnership poised to significantly impact the landscape of value-based care in the United States.

– The two organizations are collaborating to establish the AMGA Value Care Network, a strategic initiative with the ambitious goal of empowering healthcare practices nationwide to successfully implement and thrive within Accountable Care Organization (ACO) models.

AMGA Value Care Network

The official announcement of this groundbreaking collaboration took place at AMGA’s Annual Conference this month, marking a significant step forward in the pursuit of value-driven healthcare. The partnership was formalized by AMGA President and CEO Dr. Jerry Penso and Wilmington Health CEO Jeff James, signaling a strong commitment from both organizations to this critical endeavor.

The AMGA Value Care Network is designed to address a crucial need within the healthcare industry: providing scalable and effective solutions for medical groups and health systems transitioning to or optimizing their performance within value-based care environments. By leveraging the extensive operational expertise and demonstrable success of Wilmington Health in the ACO arena, the network aims to equip AMGA member organizations with the proven strategies necessary to achieve the core tenets of value-based care: improved patient outcomes and enhanced financial performance.

“We are excited to be joining forces with Wilmington Health to deliver cutting-edge, value-based care solutions to our member organizations,” said Jerry Penso, M.D., President and CEO of AMGA. “This initiative marks a bold step forward in supporting patients across the nation in affordable, exemplary care.”
