What You Should Know:

– GE HealthCare launches of its Revolution Vibe CTi, a new computed tomography (CT) system designed to elevate patient care by providing advanced cardiac imaging technology.

– The system aims to deliver fast, accurate diagnoses, improve operational efficiency, and enhance patient outcomes in cardiovascular disease (CVD) management.

Addressing the Global Burden of Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death and healthcare costs worldwide, and projections indicate that it could cause over 23 million deaths by 2030. Cardiac CT procedures are increasingly important, projected to increase significantly, highlighting its value as a first-line imaging tool for diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.

Revolution Vibe: Advanced Cardiac Imaging Technology:

GE HealthCare’s Revolution Vibe CTi, introduced at the American College of Cardiology 2025 meeting, is a new computed tomography (CT) system featuring Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac imaging. This advanced technology delivers consistent, high-quality images for patients, even in challenging cases such as atrial fibrillation and heavily calcified coronaries.

Revolution Vibe integrates advanced cardiac CT solutions to improve the accessibility and effectiveness of cardiac CT angiography (CCTA). Key features include:

  • Unlimited One-Beat Cardiac Imaging: This technology provides clear, full-heart images at low dose, improving access for patients with complex conditions.
  • TrueFidelity DL Images: Offers impressive image quality with motion-free cardiac images.
  • SnapShot Freeze 2: Provides high-quality images with reduced motion artifacts.
  • ECG-less Cardiac: Simplifies preparation for exams without an ECG connection, which is beneficial in situations where speed is critical or an ECG signal is unavailable.
  • Effortless Cardiac Workflow: Optimizes cardiac scans with AI to automatically select protocols and position the patient, streamlining workflow for all users.

AI-Powered Efficiency and Workflow Optimization:

Revolution Vibe leverages AI to optimize cardiac scans and improve workflow efficiency. A clinical evaluation showed that the one-step decision tree workflow helped reduce exam time by 50 percent and freed up four minutes of radiologists’ time per study. It also helped reduce the patient preparation process by up to five minutes per scan. This time savings is attributed to reduced positioning time, minimized use of beta blockers, and eliminating the need for an ECG connection when the cardiac exam needs to be prioritized for patient access and speed.

“Expanding access to CCTA is crucial for managing the rising prevalence of CVD, ensuring timely and accurate diagnoses for a larger patient population,” shares Jean-Luc Procaccini, President and CEO, Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography, GE HealthCare. “Our introduction of Revolution Vibe underscores our commitment to this mission. The system is designed to encourage the broader adoption of and access to cardiac imaging, combining advanced technology with AI-powered solutions to deliver fast, accurate diagnoses and a more comfortable patient experience. It is designed to empower healthcare providers to offer the highest quality care, even in the most challenging cases.”
