Adonis and Instacart Partner to Streamline Billing for Nutrition Programs

What You Should Know:

– Adonis, a prominent revenue cycle technology partner, announced a strategic partnership with Instacart, North America’s leading grocery technology company.

– The partnership addresses a crucial aspect of expanding access to healthy foods: efficient billing for nutrition support programs. Instacart Health offers various nutrition-focused initiatives to health plan members, and with this collaboration, Instacart will leverage Adonis’s advanced revenue cycle technology to submit claims for these programs.

Claims Billing for Instacart Health Nutrition Programs

Specifically, Adonis’s technology will enable Instacart to submit claims in states that offer pathways for nutrition support as part of Medicaid Section 1115 waivers and In Lieu of Services (ILOS) provisions. These provisions allow for innovative approaches to healthcare, including integrating nutrition programs as part of comprehensive care.

Through this partnership, Instacart will be able to:

  • Simplify Claim Submissions: Utilize Adonis’s platform to efficiently submit claims across multiple states.
  • Increase Access to Healthy Foods: Expand the reach of Instacart Health nutrition programs to more individuals.
  • Work with Innovative Health Plans: Strengthen partnerships with health plans that prioritize nutrition support.
  • Drive Operational Efficiencies: Streamline billing processes and reduce administrative burdens.

“Through Instacart Health, we want to make it easier for health plans to offer food as a covered benefit, ensuring more people can access the nutritious foods they need to support their health,” said Sarah Mastrocco, Vice President and General Manager of Health at Instacart. “Leveraging Adonis’ technology, we’re streamlining billing as claims for medically-tailored nutrition programs as part of Medicaid Section 1115 waivers and In Lieu of Services (ILOS) provisions. By investing in our Health infrastructure, we’re not only simplifying the process for health plans – we’re seamlessly supporting all customers on their personalized health journeys.”
