Sheba Medical Center Opens AI Center for Healthcare Innovation

–  ARC, the global health innovation engine and transformation arm of world-leading hospital Sheba Medical Center announced the launch of three AI initiatives:

  • AI Center: A state-of-the-art center to unify and accelerate AI-driven medical innovation.
  • Project K: The world’s first AI-powered emergency department.
  • Sheba AI Academy: An institution dedicated to equipping healthcare professionals with AI-driven skills.

AI Center: A Hub for Innovation

The AI Center will serve as a central hub for AI development and implementation in healthcare. It will bring together startups, research projects, and technology companies to foster collaboration and accelerate the development of AI solutions for various medical applications.

Led by renowned AI expert Dr. Ayelet Akselrod-Ballin, the center will focus on:

  • Early disease detection: Developing AI algorithms to identify diseases at their earliest stages, when they are most treatable.
  • Precision diagnostics: Improving diagnostic accuracy and efficiency through AI-powered tools.
  • Personalized medicine: Tailoring treatments to individual patients based on their unique characteristics and needs.

Project K: Revolutionizing Emergency Care

Project K, Sheba’s AI-driven emergency department, is set to transform how hospitals manage acute medical situations. The system will:
