What You Should Know:

– TigerConnect, the leading unified healthcare communications platform, today announced the general availability of its TigerConnect Pre-Hospital solution and early access availability to its TigerConnect Transfer solution.

– The solutions streamline a wide range of emergency medical services (EMS), emergency department (ED), and transfer workflows to improve patient throughput and outcomes.

TigerConnect: Advancing Unified Healthcare Communication

TigerConnect unifies healthcare communications by connecting care teams, patients, and hospital staff within and beyond hospital walls. Trusted by over 7,000 healthcare entities, the platform offers solutions for:

  • Pre-hospital and clinical communication to enhance care coordination.
  • Scheduling to streamline shift management.
  • Alarm management and nurse call for improved responsiveness.
  • Patient engagement to enhance the care experience.

Enhancing EMS-to-Hospital Coordination

TigerConnect’s vision of unifying healthcare communication is reinforced through its pre-hospital and transfer solutions, bridging the gap between EMS and hospital care teams. Key benefits include:

  • Better preparation before patient arrival, ensuring timely and informed decision-making.
  • Digitized transfer coordination, optimizing capacity management and reducing delays.
  • Early access to collaboration and communication enhancements, providing TigerConnect customers with cutting-edge solutions.

Traditional EMS-to-ED communication methods, such as radios and pagers, often lead to inefficiencies, miscommunications, and treatment delays. These challenges result in misallocated resources, productivity loss, and manual transfer coordination requiring multiple phone calls. Automating and streamlining care coordination is essential for improving outcomes, reducing costs, and enhancing clinician efficiency.

Expanding Solutions Through Innovation

Following the acquisition of Twiage, TigerConnect has introduced Pre-Hospital and Transfer solutions, further advancing its mission of unifying healthcare communication. According to Saurin Shah, Chief Product Officer at TigerConnect:

“Our solutions streamline communication by routing case and patient information to the right specialists and care teams prior to the patient’s arrival, reducing time-to-treatment. Care teams can now make better, faster decisions by communicating with more situational awareness.”

New and Upcoming Product Enhancements

TigerConnect continues to expand its platform with new features for general availability and early access:

  • Availability Status (General Availability): Enhances the Do Not Disturb (DND) setting with scheduled expiration times, saved auto-replies, and clear availability indicators, preventing cognitive overload while ensuring important messages are received.
  • Scheduling AI Agent (Early Access): Designed for users of the TigerConnect Physician Scheduling and Clinical Collaboration apps, this AI-powered tool simplifies on-call scheduling and shift swaps directly within the Clinical Collaboration app.
  • TigerConnect EMS Protocol Assistant (Early Access): A tool for EMS providers to quickly access the correct protocols and treatment dosages, optimizing response times and improving patient outcomes.

Looking Ahead: HIMSS25 and Future Innovations

TigerConnect is planning further product and technology updates in the coming months to solidify its vision for unified healthcare communications. At HIMSS25 in Las Vegas, attendees are invited to demo TigerConnect’s Pre-Hospital and Transfer solutions, experience its impact on care coordination, and explore how the platform reduces communication inefficiencies while accelerating care delivery.
