What You Should Know:

– Vitalchat, a provider of AI-powered ambient solutions for in-patient virtual nursing and procedural telehealth raises $6M in Series A funding led by Green Harvest Capital Industries (GHC Industries), with participation from other investors.

– The funding will enable Vitalchat to accelerate its mission of transforming inpatient telehealth and virtual nursing by expanding its scalable, cost-effective solutions that address the growing demand for remote care services.

Addressing Critical Challenges in Healthcare

The demand for virtual nursing and telehealth solutions has surged in recent years, driven by factors such as workforce shortages, rising patient acuity, and regulatory shifts supporting digital care adoption. The total addressable market for inpatient virtual care and AI-powered telehealth in the U.S. is estimated at $2 billion, yet fewer than 5% of hospital beds currently have video-enabled monitoring solutions.

Vitalchat is uniquely positioned to bridge this gap with its innovative platform that leverages existing hospital infrastructure to provide AI-powered virtual sitters, remote procedural support, and automated workflows. By eliminating the need for additional hardware, Vitalchat makes telehealth adoption more accessible and cost-effective for hospitals and health systems.

Key benefits of Vitalchat’s solutions include:

  • Reduces administrative burden: AI-powered workflows automate routine tasks, freeing up nurses and clinicians to focus on patient care.
  • Enhances patient safety: Real-time monitoring and predictive analytics help identify potential risks and enable timely interventions.
  • Improves care coordination: Facilitates communication and collaboration between clinical teams, patients, and family members.
  • Cost-effective: Leverages existing infrastructure and eliminates the need for additional hardware, making it a more affordable solution.

Expanding Reach and Impact

Vitalchat is currently available in over 35 hospitals across medical-surgical units, ICUs, operating rooms, and post-acute care facilities. The Series A funding will enable the company to expand its reach and serve more healthcare providers, further transforming the delivery of patient care.

“Doctors and nurses enter the profession to heal, comfort, and care—not to be overwhelmed by paperwork or stretched thin due to staffing shortages,” said Michael Raymer, CEO of Vitalchat. “This funding enables us to scale our in-patient virtual care platform, allowing more health systems to give their care teams the time and focus to do what they love—connecting with patients and making a real difference in their lives. We’re grateful for the support of GHC Industries as we continue to innovate and expand our impact.”
