What You Should Know:

– Siemens Healthineers, a global medical technology company announced a significant expansion of its U.S. parts inventory and logistics network with the opening of two new mega depots in Dayton, New Jersey, and Manteca, California.

– This strategic move, in partnership with GXO, the world’s largest pure-play contract logistics provider, strengthens Siemens Healthineers’ commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring timely access to critical medical equipment parts.

Enhancing Supply Chain Resilience

The healthcare industry has faced significant supply chain challenges in recent years, with increasing global demand, geopolitical uncertainties, and severe weather events disrupting the flow of goods and services. The new mega depots, located in the New York and Oakland metro areas, will significantly increase the availability of parts by nearly a third and offer greater flexibility in delivery options for customers across the United States.

These facilities complement Siemens Healthineers’ existing depot in Memphis, Tennessee, and its network of forward stocking locations strategically positioned near major customers.Siemens Healthineers’ investment in these new mega depots and its partnership with GXO demonstrate a commitment to building a more resilient and responsive supply chain.
