What You Should Know:

– Mira, a hormonal health company announced the launch of its second annual Sex Hormones Awareness Week, taking place from February 17th to 23rd, 2025.

– Building on the success of last year’s event, this initiative aims to raise awareness, promote education, and drive innovation in the field of hormonal health.

Despite significant medical advancements, hormonal health remains an often misunderstood and under-researched area, particularly for women. Mira’s State of Hormonal Health 2025 report reveals that 68% of American women hesitate to seek medical help for hormonal issues, even when experiencing severe symptoms. This reluctance can have significant consequences, both for individual well-being and the economy, with an estimated $196 billion in lost productivity annually due to untreated hormonal health issues.

Key Initiatives of Sex Hormones Awareness Week:

  • State of Hormonal Health 2025 Report: Provides valuable insights into key trends, gaps, and emerging research in women’s hormonal health. The report highlights the need for greater awareness and education, as 4 in 10 women believe their symptoms are not “serious enough” to seek medical attention.
  • Hormone Innovators Award: Recognizes individuals, researchers, and organizations making significant contributions to hormonal health. This award celebrates those pushing the boundaries of research, treatment, and care across all stages of a woman’s life.

Partnerships for Change

Mira has partnered with leading organizations in health technology, wellness, and hormonal health to amplify the impact of Sex Hormones Awareness Week. These partners include ŌURA, Hello Alpha, Tiny Health, FLO Living, and Femtech Insider.

“Women have long been expected to endure pain, fatigue, and hormonal challenges as unavoidable parts of life. Our report reveals that 35% of women avoid activities like socializing or exercising due to hormonal symptoms. This year, we’re not just raising awareness — we’re highlighting real experiences and providing actionable insights to drive change,” said Sylvia Kang, CEO and co-founder of Mira.
