What You Should Know:

– Mira, a provider of at-home hormone monitoring solutions, announced a collaboration with researchers at the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Kinesiology to validate the performance of the Mira Hormone Monitor.

– The research aims to establish Mira’s technology as a reliable and accurate tool for women’s health, comparable to the gold standard of ultrasound for ovulation tracking.

Mira Hormone Monitor

The Mira Hormone Monitor is the first and only FDA-compliant at-home monitor with a fluorescent detector. This clinical-grade technology allows users to track four key hormone levels (FSH, LH, E3G, and PdG) in their urine, providing personalized insights into their menstrual cycles and hormonal health.

Validating Mira Against the Gold Standard

The study will compare Mira’s hormone measurements to ultrasound results, the current gold standard for ovulation tracking. This validation process will:

  • Enhance trust in at-home hormone testing: Demonstrate the reliability and accuracy of Mira’s technology.
  • Empower women with data: Provide women with personalized insights into their hormonal health.
  • Support clinical decision-making: Offer healthcare providers a valuable tool for monitoring and managing women’s reproductive health.

Looking Ahead

Upon completion of the study and approval from Health Canada, Mira plans to make its hormone monitor available to Canadian consumers, expanding access to its innovative technology and empowering more women to take control of their health.
