What You Should Know:

– Commure, a healthcare technology company, today announced that North East Medical Services (NEMS) has selected Commure Ambient AI for enterprise-wide deployment across its network of clinics.

– The implementation follows a successful ten-week pilot program comparing Commure’s AI-powered scribe solution with another leading vendor.

NEMS Background

NEMS, a non-profit community health center serving underserved populations in San Francisco and Daly City, prioritized finding an AI solution that could accurately capture and transcribe clinical conversations in multiple languages, streamline workflows, and integrate seamlessly with their Epic electronic health record (EHR) system.

Commure Ambient AI Excels in Pilot Program

During the pilot program, Commure Ambient AI demonstrated superior performance in several key areas:

  • Multilingual Accuracy: Commure achieved significantly higher accuracy rates for Spanish and Chinese-language encounters compared to the competitor, with documentation edit rates of 95% and 93%, respectively.
  • Documentation Efficiency: Commure delivered a 30% improvement in documentation efficiency, saving clinicians an average of 5.2 minutes per encounter.
  • Provider Satisfaction: Physicians rated Commure Ambient AI an average of 4.5 out of 5 for note quality, compared to 3.8 for the competitor.
  • Seamless Epic Integration: Commure’s solution integrated smoothly with NEMS’s Epic workflows, particularly with workstations.

Commure Ambient AI’s flexible workflows, including in-Epic recording, desktop app, and mobile compatibility, allowed NEMS providers to efficiently document visits across various settings. The platform’s potential for future AI applications, such as provider copilots and computer vision modules, also played a significant role in NEMS’s decision.
