Percipio Health Launches AI-Powered Population Health Platform with $20M

What You Should Know:

– Percipio Health, a population health monitoring and management platform, today announced its official launch and the closing of a $20M in Series A funding round led by UPMC Enterprises, WAVE Ventures, and Labcorp.

– Percipio’s platform, developed over the past two years, utilizes the power of AI and a simple smartphone to collect whole-person health signals, enabling real-time assessments and predictive insights. This approach eliminates the need for specialized medical devices, making it more accessible and scalable for healthcare providers and payers managing diverse patient populations.

Device-free. Holistic. Scalable. Intelligent.

Percipio’s platform is designed to support the shift towards value-based care by providing providers and payers with a shared source of truth for managing growing populations and optimizing care delivery. This data-driven approach can help improve outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance patient satisfaction.

Percipio’s platform utilizes a single mobile app to collect multiple health signals daily, including:

  • Vision-based AI biomarkers: Capture vital signs and medication adherence through the smartphone camera.
  • Vocal AI biomarkers: Assess brain health and cognitive function through voice analysis.
  • Other health signals: Gather data on activity levels, sleep patterns, and more.

This comprehensive approach provides a holistic view of each patient’s health, enabling more accurate risk assessments and personalized care plans. Percipio’s clinical portal empowers healthcare providers with predictive insights to assist in earlier diagnosis and inform next best actions.

Experienced Leadership in Digital Health

Percipio’s co-founders, Eric Rock and David Lucas, are seasoned veterans in the digital health space. They previously founded Vivify Health, a remote patient monitoring platform acquired by Optum, and MEDHOST, an emergency department medical records solution.

“After two years of intensive R&D, we are thrilled to unveil Percipio Health, breaking through the high-cost barriers that have prevented remote patient monitoring from reaching broader populations,” said Eric Rock, co-founder and CEO of Percipio Health. “With our advanced AI health signals, we deliver instant health risk assessments, proactive health monitoring, and comprehensive virtual care at scale.”
