What You Should Know:

– Century Health, a provider in applying artificial intelligence (AI) to real-world data for research acceleration, and Nira Medical, a national leader in neurological care delivery, announced a strategic partnership to advance the understanding of multiple sclerosis (MS) and improve patient outcomes.

– The collaboration will leverage Century Health’s AI platform to curate and structure data from over 3,000 MS patients treated within Nira Medical’s network of clinics. This enriched dataset will then be analyzed in partnership with life sciences companies to accelerate research into MS treatment and improve patient care.

Unlocking the Potential of Real-World Data

Electronic health records (EHRs) hold a wealth of information that can be invaluable for medical research. However, a significant portion of this data is unstructured and difficult to analyze, limiting its potential to drive meaningful insights.

Century Health’s AI-powered platform addresses this challenge by automating the curation and enrichment of both retrospective and prospective EHR data. This process transforms unstructured data into a usable format, allowing researchers to extract valuable insights and answer complex questions about disease progression, treatment effectiveness, and patient outcomes.

Accelerating MS Research and Improving Patient Outcomes

This partnership will initially focus on MS due to the significant patient population within Nira Medical’s network and the availability of numerous therapies for analysis. The curated dataset will enable life sciences companies to:

  • Answer novel research questions: Gain a deeper understanding of MS and its various subtypes.
  • Accelerate drug development: Identify promising new treatments and bring them to market faster.
  • Improve patient outcomes: Develop more personalized and effective treatment strategies.

“Using AI to unlock previously inaccessible patient data is not only accelerating the development of new treatments, it’s helping us generate insights for patients that have been historically underrepresented in clinical research,” said Vish Srivastava, Co-Founder & CEO at Century Health. “We’re thrilled to partner with Nira Medical to accelerate data curation and enrichment, with the goal that every patient’s journey can contribute to advancing care for the entire community.”
