What You Should Know:

–  Hippocratic AI, the company that pioneered the first healthcare LLM for patient-facing non-diagnostic clinical tasks, today announced that the company completed its series B financing round only nine months after its series A.

–  The series B raised $141MM, valuing the company at $1.64B.

Revolutionizing Healthcare Through Safety-Focused Large Language Models

Hippocratic AI, co-founded by CEO Munjal Shah alongside a multidisciplinary team of physicians, hospital administrators, healthcare professionals, and AI researchers from institutions such as El Camino Health, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, Microsoft, Google, and NVIDIA, has introduced a safety-focused Large Language Model (LLM) for healthcare. The company aims to improve global healthcare accessibility and outcomes by leveraging deep healthcare expertise. No other technology holds comparable potential for worldwide health impact.

Milestones and Achievements

  • Raised a Series A round supported by investors including Kleiner Perkins, A16z, General Catalyst, Premji, NVIDIA, and SV Angel.
  • Developed and launched the Polaris 2.0 architecture, enhancing intelligence from 1.1 trillion to 3.7 trillion parameters.
  • Partnered with leading health systems, including UHS, Honor Health, WellSpan Health, Cincinnati Children’s, OhioHealth, and Memorial Hermann, to achieve safety parity with human nurses before launch.
  • Signed contracts with 23 health systems, payors, and pharmaceutical companies, launching 16 of these clients within 23 weeks.
  • Received its first U.S. patent and expanded its nurse, physician, and industry advisory councils.
  • Enabled GenAI agents to complete hundreds of thousands of patient calls, earning an average interaction rating of 8.7 out of 10.

Funding and Strategic Expansion The latest funding round, led by Kleiner Perkins—renowned for backing Google, Amazon, and Genentech—was bolstered by existing investors such as Universal Health Services (UHS), WellSpan Health, and NVIDIA. The additional capital will be used to:

  • Expand into new verticals, including pharmaceutical companies and payors.
  • Enter new markets, such as EMEA, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.
  • Accelerate the deployment of Hippocratic AI’s GenAI-driven super staffing solutions.

AI Agent App Store Launch Hippocratic AI also announced the launch of its AI Agent App Store, allowing licensed clinicians to collaborate in designing and shaping AI agents tailored to specific use cases. Clinicians can earn revenue from the deployment of these AI agents by healthcare organizations.

Commitment to Healthcare Safety From its inception, Hippocratic AI prioritized safety and collaboration with healthcare organizations. By ensuring its LLM reached human-equivalent safety levels, the company has successfully integrated its technology into major healthcare systems, including Arkos Health, Belong Health, Cincinnati Children’s, Fraser Health (Canada), GuideHealth, and OhioHealth.

A Vision for Healthcare Abundance With its safety-focused Polaris constellation architecture, Hippocratic AI continues to advance its mission to create healthcare abundance and improve patient outcomes worldwide. The company remains committed to leveraging its innovative technologies for transformative global impact.
