Offcall Launches with $2M for Financial & Career Platform for Physicians

What You Should Know:

– Offcall, a new digital platform designed specifically for physicians, has officially launched to address the growing financial and career challenges faced by doctors across the United States.

– Offcall has raised $2M in funding from investors, including Bloomberg Beta and Roar Ventures, as well as prominent physicians across the U.S. This investment will support the platform’s growth and expansion of its offerings.

Addressing the Challenges Faced by Physicians

Physicians today face a complex healthcare landscape with increasing administrative burdens, financial pressures, and challenges in navigating career paths. Offcall aims to alleviate these burdens by providing:

  • Transparent Compensation Data: Access to a vast and verified database of job and compensation data, including salary information, benefits, and work-life balance factors.
  • Financial and Career Resources: Curated resources and tools to help physicians manage student debt, plan for retirement, navigate taxes, and balance personal and professional priorities.
  • Community and Connection: A vibrant digital space for physicians to connect with peers, share experiences, and find support.

Looking Ahead

Offcall plans to continue expanding its platform with additional career navigation tools, resources, and community features. This ongoing development will further support physicians in navigating their careers, managing their finances, and finding fulfilling professional opportunities.

“Physicians would never make clinical decisions without knowing patients’ vital signs, but when it comes to our own finances and choosing where to work, we lack financial vital signs and are left flying blind,” said Dr. Graham Walker, co-founder of Offcall and practicing emergency medicine physician in San Francisco. “By finally providing clear and personalized financial data, Offcall will bring much-needed transparency and help ensure that physicians nationwide start getting fairly compensated for their time and value.”
