What You Should Know:

– GE HealthCare has announced the launch of Aurora, a revolutionary dual-head SPECT/CT system designed to enhance diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care.

– Unveiled at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2024 Annual Meeting, Aurora offers advanced features and AI-powered solutions to support precision medicine and personalized care.

Advancing SPECT/CT Imaging

Aurora combines functional imaging from SPECT with anatomical details from CT, providing clinicians with a comprehensive view of diseases. This hybrid system is particularly valuable for conditions like cancer and cardiac disorders, where early detection and precise localization of abnormalities are crucial for effective intervention.

AI-Powered Image Enhancement

Aurora also features Clarify DL, a deep learning image reconstruction technology designed to improve bone SPECT image quality without compromising contrast or resolution. This AI-powered solution enhances diagnostic confidence and accuracy.

Transforming Healthcare with Precision Imaging

Aurora represents a significant advancement in SPECT/CT imaging, offering:

  • Enhanced Image Quality: Delivers clearer, more accurate images for improved diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Increased Efficiency: Streamlines workflows and reduces scan times.
  • Improved Patient Comfort: Offers a more comfortable patient experience with a wider bore and reduced scan times.
  • Personalized Care: Supports personalized approaches to patient care through advanced digital solutions.

“As precision care and personalized medicine increasingly define the future of healthcare, Aurora will play an essential role in enabling clinicians to make informed decisions and deliver tailored treatments to help enhance patient outcomes,” says Jean-Luc Procaccini, President & CEO, Molecular Imaging and Computed Tomography, GE HealthCare. “Additionally, GE HealthCare is proud to be a leader in the integration of machine learning and AI advancements for more than a decade. As a result, we’ve witnessed firsthand how these technologies can address some of the industry’s toughest challenges. With this experience top of mind, we are proud to offer Clarify DL to our nuclear medicine customers, harnessing the power of AI for exceptional image quality.”
