HLTH: Essence Healthcare to Offer Free Oura Ring to Medicare Advantage Members

What You Should Know:

– DexCom, the global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), and ŌURA, the maker of the leading smart ring, have announced a strategic partnership to help millions of people improve their metabolic health.

– The collaboration will integrate Dexcom’s glucose data with ŌURA’s comprehensive health metrics, providing users with a more holistic view of their well-being.

A Holistic Approach to Metabolic Health

By combining Dexcom’s CGM data with ŌURA’s biometrics, including sleep, stress, heart health, and activity data, users will gain a deeper understanding of how their lifestyle and biology impact their metabolic health. This integrated approach empowers individuals to make informed decisions and take proactive steps to improve their overall health.

Strategic Investment and Collaboration

As part of this partnership, Dexcom is making a $75M strategic investment in ŌURA’s Series D funding, valuing ŌURA at over $5B. The companies will also collaborate on:

  • Data Integration: Enabling data to flow seamlessly between Dexcom and ŌURA products, including their respective apps and devices.
  • Co-Marketing and Cross-Selling: Promoting each other’s products to expand their reach and impact.
  • App Integration: Launching integrated app experiences that combine glucose data with ŌURA’s health metrics. The first integration is expected in the first half of 2025.

“Dexcom offers the most accurate glucose biosensing systems on the market that help reveal the impact of daily lifestyle choices on glucose levels and enable our users to make informed decisions about their health and overall well-being,” said Matt Dolan, executive vice president of strategy and corporate development at Dexcom. “Partnering with ŌURA gives us the opportunity to redefine the category again, integrating data from Dexcom glucose biosensors with the continuous insights and metrics measured by Oura Ring. This powerful combination will attract new shared customers who want to better understand the link between activity, sleep, nutrition, and their glucose.”
