What You Should Know:

– Medbridge, a leading provider of healthcare technology solutions, has acquired Rehab Boost, an innovative motion capture and movement-based AI company. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.

– The strategic acquisition will relaunch Rehab Boost as Medbridge Motion Capture, a key component of Medbridge AI. This move reinforces Medbridge’s commitment to integrating cutting-edge technology into patient care, improving access to high-quality care, and driving innovation in the healthcare industry.

Meeting the Growing Demand for AI-Driven Movement Analysis

Healthcare providers are increasingly seeking AI-powered solutions to enhance patient care and improve outcomes. Medbridge, after evaluating over 30 solutions in the market, identified Rehab Boost as the ideal partner to meet this demand. The acquisition follows Medbridge’s successful integration of motion capture technology into its Pathways platform earlier this year.

Enhancing Patient Care with AI and Motion Capture

The launch of Medbridge Motion Capture and Medbridge AI will empower healthcare providers to leverage motion capture technology in new and innovative ways:

  • Early-Stage Prevention: Identify movement patterns and potential risks to prevent injuries and improve patient well-being.
  • Personalized Rehabilitation: Develop tailored rehabilitation plans based on precise movement analysis and AI-driven insights.
  • Improved Patient Outcomes: Enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of treatments through data-driven decision-making.

Rehab Boost Executives Joins Medbridge

In addition to acquiring Rehab Boost’s technology, Medbridge has welcomed key talent to its team:

  • Paul Jaure: Founder of Rehab Boost, will lead AI innovation at Medbridge as Head of AI.
  • Garth Savidge: Joins Medbridge as Director of Commercial Operations, bringing his expertise in clinical workflow design and experience as a practicing physical therapist at Mass General.

“By acquiring Rehab Boost and launching Medbridge Motion Capture as part of Medbridge AI, we’re not just expanding our capabilities, we’re transforming the entire spectrum of care delivery—from preventative care to rehabilitation,” said Sarah Jacob, Chief Product Officer at Medbridge. “Our mission is to equip healthcare providers with the most advanced tools available to deliver smarter, more personalized care that improves clinical efficacy and gives providers a window into what—and how—patients are doing when they’re not in the clinic.”
