What You Should Know:

–  In a move set to transform healthcare operations across Georgia and Alabama, Tanner Health and Healthliant Ventures have announced a strategic partnership with Corti, the trusted AI platform to healthcare systems worldwide.

– The collaboration is expected to significantly streamline medical coding, reduce administrative burdens by 80 percent, and enhance the overall accuracy of billing systems. This integration will empower healthcare professionals to spend less time on administrative tasks and more on delivering high-quality care to the three million patient interactions delivered by Tanner Health every year.

Transforming Medical Coding and Healthcare Efficiency: Corti Partners with Tanner Health

Medical coding is a critical yet highly complex aspect of healthcare, requiring the accurate translation of patient interactions into standardized codes for billing and clinical documentation. Errors in coding contribute to delays, claim denials, and industry-wide losses of up to $68 billion annually. To address these challenges, Tanner Health has partnered with Corti, a leader in healthcare-specific AI coding technology, to pilot an innovative coding solution across its workflows.

A New Standard for Accuracy and Efficiency

Tanner Health will trial Corti’s AI-driven coding in the coming months, with plans to integrate it across emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory settings. As one of the first US partners to adopt this technology, Tanner aims to set a new benchmark for coding accuracy and efficiency. Corti’s AI models, trained on over 100 million healthcare interactions, are built exclusively for the medical field, ensuring:

– High coding precision that reduces claim denials and accelerates billing processes.

– Explainable AI recommendations that clinicians can understand, verify, and trust.

– Cost savings and operational efficiency by automating administrative processes, improving clinical documentation, and preventing delays.

This technology supports more than 100,000 patient interactions daily, offering substantial time and cost savings for hospitals and healthcare providers.

Advancing Revenue Cycle Management and Patient Outcomes

By reducing insurance claim denials and administrative bottlenecks, Tanner Health expects to enhance both financial and patient-centered outcomes. Patients will benefit from fewer unexpected billing issues, while hospitals will see faster reimbursements and improved documentation quality. The partnership aligns with Corti’s broader mission to address the systemic challenges posed by an aging population, chronic illnesses, and increasingly complex reimbursement processes.

Scalability and Seamless Integration

Corti’s adaptability makes it an ideal solution for healthcare providers of all sizes. Its customizable AI integrates easily into existing workflows and supports over 10 languages, ensuring accessibility across a variety of care settings and specialties—from rural clinics to large urban hospitals.

A Milestone in U.S. Expansion

This collaboration with Tanner Health marks a significant step in Corti’s U.S. expansion and reinforces its position as a leader in healthcare automation. By introducing advanced AI coding, Tanner Health is pioneering a future where fewer coding errors, faster billing, and improved patient outcomes become the norm, setting a new standard for efficiency and quality across the healthcare industry.

“Healthcare systems are severely overburdened, with professionals spending almost 34 percent of their time on documentation,” said Andreas Cleve, CEO of Corti. “Our mission is to change this. Backed by over eight years of rigorous research, our peer-reviewed AI offers multiple models specifically built for healthcare so that it can be trusted to serve the industry’s ultra complex and rigorously high standards. By partnering with us, Tanner Health is taking a major step towards making the medical coding process more effective and accurate than ever before.”
