97% of Patients Are Confident AI Will Elevate Patient Care, Report Reveals

What You Should Know:

– A new study by Upvio, a leading digital care platform, titled “State of AI and Technology Adoption in Healthcare,” provides critical insights into the transformative role of technology in the healthcare industry.

– The comprehensive report, based on a survey of over 1,400 patients and healthcare professionals, underscores the widespread adoption of telehealth and the growing acceptance of AI-powered tools.

Key Findings

Upvio’s research is designed to empower practitioners with data-driven insights to enhance patient care, optimize operational efficiencies, and thrive in the ever-changing healthcare environment. Key findings of the report include:

  • Telehealth is a Patient Favorite: A remarkable 94% of patients have used telehealth services, citing faster access to care (47%) and the convenience of avoiding commutes (46%) as major benefits. 88% of patients prefer practitioners who offer telehealth options.
  • Practitioners Embrace Technology: 80% of practitioners acknowledge that technology is crucial for their practice’s success. However, a concerning 40% of practices still do not offer telehealth consultations.
  • AI Gains Trust: 53% of patients trust AI in healthcare, but there’s still room for increased adoption among healthcare organizations.

“Modern healthcare is at a pivotal juncture where technology plays a central role in enhancing patient engagement and operational efficiencies,” says Mark Evans, Founder & CEO of Upvio. “Our research paper provides insights on healthcare technology adoption, helping practitioners and stakeholders make informed decisions for better patient and provider outcomes.”
