What You Should Know:

– Suki, a frontrunner in artificial intelligence (AI) technology for healthcare announced the deployment of its voice AI assistant in more than a dozen health systems utilizing MEDITECH Expanse, including St. Mary’s Healthcare and Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

– Suki’s expansion into more than a dozen health systems on MEDITECH Expanse demonstrates the increasing adoption of AI technology in healthcare.

Seamless Integration with MEDITECH Expanse

Through its deep integration with MEDITECH, a leader in healthcare technology with one of the largest electronic health record systems, Suki offers MEDITECH Expanse users a comprehensive voice AI assistant. This allows voice AI to seamlessly blend into clinicians’ daily workflows, reducing administrative burdens and improving the quality of their notes.

Partnerships and Positive Impacts

Since announcing its collaboration with MEDITECH last year, Suki has partnered with numerous health systems, including Citizens Memorial, Golden Valley Memorial, Ozarks Healthcare, Goshen Health, and Holyoke Medical Center. As MEDITECH’s first integrated voice AI solution, Suki has been instrumental in alleviating administrative workload and cognitive burdens for clinicians.

St. Mary’s Hospital and Decatur County Memorial Hospital’s Success

St. Mary’s Hospital selected Suki as its AI partner due to its seamless integration with MEDITECH. Clinicians at St. Mary’s started using Suki Assistant in early 2024 and quickly experienced significant benefits, including a 50% reduction in note completion time, which is crucial for both care delivery and timely reimbursements.

Decatur County Memorial Hospital, with a vision to be a leader in health and wellness, has also embraced technological advancements to improve patient access and experience. Their partnership with Suki has resulted in notable improvements in clinicians’ feelings of burnout and time spent on documentation, allowing them to focus more on patient care.

“As the ambient AI space has become more crowded in recent years, Suki has sought to become the platform where we not only get deployed in health systems, but are actually utilized day-in-and-day-out to improve interactions for clinicians and patients alike,” said Heather Miller, VP of Partnerships for Suki. “A key to accomplishing this mission has been focusing on EHR integrations with incredible partners like MEDITECH, which has driven adoption of our product and placed us directly with great health systems like St. Mary’s and Decatur.”
