What You Should Know:

– WhiteGlove, the first full-service healthcare concierge for international care coordination, was unveiled today under the leadership of Dropbox, LinkedIn, and IIT Bombay alum, Anand Prakash.

–  WhiteGlove’s mission is to provide a streamlined approach to managing healthcare for loved ones living outside of the United States, with an initial focus on India.

WhiteGlove: Revolutionizing Healthcare Access for Indians with U.S.-based Family Support

WhiteGlove, founded by Anand Prakash, offers 24/7 concierge healthcare services to U.S.-based individuals seeking personalized medical care for family members in India. Its services include digitized health records, appointment management, medication reminders, and family access to real-time health information, ensuring comprehensive and continuous healthcare support.

India’s aging population is projected to double by 2050, yet access to adequate healthcare remains limited, especially in rural areas where 71% of the population resides. Many Indians who migrate to the U.S. for better opportunities face significant challenges in securing proper care for their aging family members back home. India’s healthcare system lacks an outcome-based, preventative approach, and struggles with a physician shortage that leads to long waits, fragmented care, and questionable specialist referrals. Furthermore, the absence of electronic health records exacerbates inefficiencies and increases the risk of fraud.

WhiteGlove addresses these challenges by focusing on long-term, preventative care and utilizing AI to digitize patient health histories. Its process begins with a comprehensive full-body assessment to establish baseline healthcare needs. WhiteGlove physicians conduct telehealth consultations to identify pressing health concerns and create a roadmap for treatment and management. When in-person care is required, WhiteGlove partners with vetted healthcare providers across India, coordinating appointments, travel, and follow-ups. To ensure the highest quality of care, WhiteGlove physicians review local providers’ recommendations and arrange second opinions as needed. Family members in the U.S. can track the patient’s healthcare journey through a secure portal that also facilitates medication and appointment reminders.

Anand Prakash brings significant expertise to WhiteGlove, having previously served as the founding engineer and chief architect of Gupshup, a leading enterprise communications platform with over 35 million users by 2007. This role provided him with deep insights into scalability and user engagement, crucial elements in navigating India’s complex healthcare system. He further refined his expertise in managing digital data as the founder of Droptalk, a messaging platform acquired by Dropbox in 2014, and through Taskrun.ai, his recent venture focused on AI-driven personalized messaging. These experiences directly inform WhiteGlove’s ability to streamline healthcare communications and manage medical records efficiently.

By integrating technology and care coordination, WhiteGlove empowers U.S.-based families to secure reliable, high-quality healthcare for their loved ones in India.

“Caring for my parents and extended family in India has been a heartbreaking process, oftentimes leading me or my siblings to fly 8,000+ miles just to make sure they get appropriate care,” said Anand Prakash, founder of WhiteGlove.
