What You Should Know:

–  TytoCare, a virtual care company enabling accessible, high-quality primary care from home, announced today that it has received an additional FDA clearance for a new AI-powered diagnostic capability, Tyto Insights for Crackle Detection.

–       This capability, which is built on TytoCare’s database of lung sound recordings and driven by an innovative, AI-based algorithm, joins TytoCare’s existing suite of diagnostic tools, including Tyto Insights for Wheeze Detection, which was cleared by the FDA in 2023.

TytoCare’s Home Smart Clinic: Revolutionizing Remote Healthcare with AI-Driven Innovations

TytoCare is a virtual healthcare company that empowers leading health plans and providers to deliver comprehensive remote healthcare through its Home Smart Clinic. By integrating a state-of-the-art, FDA-cleared device with advanced AI, the Home Smart Clinic enables families to conduct remote physical exams that replicate in-clinic visits, providing immediate answers from the comfort of home.

Key Benefits of TytoCare’s Home Smart Clinic:

– Drives utilization rates five times higher than traditional telehealth services.

– Reduces the total cost of care by an average of five percent.

– Diverts emergency department visits by an average of 10.8 percent.

– Achieves a high average Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 83.

Tyto Insights for Crackle Detection is a new feature designed to assist clinicians in detecting lung crackles in adults and children over the age of two. This capability, which will be incorporated into TytoCare’s Home Smart Clinic and Pro Smart Clinic solutions in the coming months, utilizes an AI algorithm to analyze lung acoustic signals during virtual visits. When crackles are identified, the exam content is flagged, alerting providers to potential abnormal lung sounds that may require further attention.

“The integration of AI into our diagnostic tools significantly enhances clinician efficiency and speed to diagnosis,” said Dedi Gilad, CEO and Co-Founder of TytoCare. “With our new AI-powered crackle detection algorithm, which was trained using data validated by pulmonologists.”

TytoCare’s Home and Pro Smart Clinics uniquely replicate the full in-clinic experience, enabling clinicians to listen to a patient’s lungs and perform remote exams of the ears, throat, heart, and skin. Respiratory diagnoses, which constitute over 40 percent of all diagnoses made using TytoCare’s virtual care solution, highlight the prevalence of acute and chronic respiratory conditions.

Recent Enhancements and Future Developments:

– Launch of a major update to increase digital health integration capabilities.

– Facilitation of patient-provider exam sharing.

– Addition of pre-visit exams and a patient onboarding chatbot.

– Upcoming release of Tyto Insights for Crackle Detection in September.

– More AI capabilities to be submitted for clearance and rolled out in the coming months.

TytoCare continues to innovate, improving its offerings and enhancing the remote healthcare experience for families and providers alike.
