What You Should Know:

– Igel, a leading provider of secure endpoint operating systems, announced today an expanded partnership with LG Business Solutions.

–  Igel’s cloud-based software solution caters specifically to the healthcare market, providing users with a user-friendly platform to access and manage various cloud-based solutions designed for LG digital signage, interactive displays, and video walls.

Beyond Thin Clients: Igel Enters OT and IoT Markets

This strategic partnership represents a significant step for Igel. Previously known for their secure operating systems powering LG thin-client devices, Igel is now expanding its reach into the operational technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors through this collaboration.

Focus on Healthcare and Security

The initial focus of this initiative will be on healthcare facilities. Igel’s secure Linux-based operating system, IGEL OS, will be integrated with LG’s large-screen displays. This combination leverages Igel’s Preventative Security Model™ to minimize attack vectors and create a robust foundation for secure digital signage and content management.

“LG’s commercial display solutions are revolutionizing how organizations manage, process and communicate information to the masses in various vertical markets,” said Jim Airdo, Senior Vice President of Strategic Alliances, IGEL. “Our expanded strategic collaboration opens doors for customers from health care and ultimately other industries, empowering them to create seamless digital environments that captivate and inform audiences, essentially without risk or compromise.”
