What You Should Know:

– Deloitte announced today the acquisition of substantially all assets of End Point’s industry-leading disease surveillance business, CasePointer. This strategic move strengthens Deloitte’s Public Health Transformation team with experienced professionals and enhances its capabilities in supporting public health agencies.

– Deloitte is only acquiring assets related to End Point’s CasePointer business. End Point will retain all other aspects of its operations.

Boosting Public Health Infrastructure:

The acquisition brings to Deloitte a team of skilled software engineers, cloud developers, DevOps engineers, epidemiologists, and former public health officials. These experts will play a vital role in developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions for disease surveillance and public health response.

CasePointer and GovConnect: A Powerful Combination:

End Point’s CasePointer, a leading open-source platform for collecting, organizing, and maintaining epidemiological data, will be integrated with Deloitte’s GovConnect™ digital assets. This combined solution will provide public health agencies with a robust platform to:

  • Identify and investigate outbreaks of communicable diseases more effectively.
  • Mitigate environmental hazards and bioterrorism threats.
  • Fortify emergency response efforts with real-time data and insights.

This enhanced capability aligns with Deloitte’s ongoing commitment to supporting public health agencies in protecting communities and ensuring health security.

“This acquisition adds even more high-quality tools to our public health toolbox,” said David Betts, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Deloitte’s public health transformation leader. “End Point’s team – and their robust, scalable and resilient solutions – complement Deloitte’s experience and capabilities, and provide public health officials with an incredible opportunity to deploy cutting-edge technologies that meet the unique needs of their communities.”
