What You Should Know:

– Axle Health, a provider of scheduling and workforce management software for home healthcare, today announced the closing of an additional $4.2M in seed funding, bringing its total raised to $4.4M.

– This latest round, led by TRAC VC with participation from existing investor Pear VC, will fuel Axle’s mission to address the critical staffing shortage in the home healthcare industry through innovative technology solutions.

Optimizing Care Delivery and Reducing Clinician Burnout

Axle’s software platform tackles the industry’s biggest challenge: ensuring efficient scheduling and deployment of home-based healthcare professionals. Their proprietary logistics engine optimizes scheduling and routes, minimizing travel time between patient visits and maximizing patient care opportunities. This not only improves patient access to care but also reduces clinician burnout associated with excessive travel and inefficient scheduling.

Early Success and Expansion Plans

Following the success of their homegrown care delivery platform, Axle launched their new software solution for existing home healthcare providers in 2023. The market quickly embraced the platform, with Axle exceeding $1M in annual recurring revenue (ARR) within its first year. Founded in 2020 and a Y Combinator alumni (2021), Axle is now poised for further growth.

Expanding Engineering Team

The newly secured funds will be used to bolster Axle’s software and machine learning engineering team, enabling them to further develop their innovative platform. Interested engineering talent can find career opportunities at https://axle.health/careers.
