What You Should Know:

– Harris, a global vertical market software provider, acquires MEDHOST, Inc., a prominent player in electronic health records (EHR) and healthcare IT solutions to bolster its healthcare offerings.

– The strategic acquisition also encompasses MEDTEAM Solutions, a dedicated service provider specializing in application, revenue cycle, IT, and security management.

Strengthening Community Healthcare

MEDHOST brings to the table a comprehensive suite of clinical and financial solutions, including an integrated EHR, all geared towards enhancing patient care and ensuring financial success for healthcare providers. Key features include:

– Digital patient management: Seamlessly managing patient data and interactions.

– Mobile solutions: Empowering both patients and providers with on-the-go access.

– Department-specific solutions: Tailored tools for emergency departments, perioperative and anesthesia management, and more.

– Enterprise-wide interoperability: Smooth data exchange across various systems.

– Rural healthcare support: Customizable solutions specifically designed for the unique needs of rural health facilities, assisting them in navigating and maintaining Rural Emergency Hospital designation.

“MEDHOST has a long-standing legacy of fostering strong relationships and partnerships within the community healthcare landscape across the US,” said Santina Allen, Harris Portfolio Leader. “Our primary objective with this acquisition is to cultivate an environment where these partnerships not only persist but flourish.”

Post-Acquisition Plans

Harris plans to maintain MEDHOST as a stand-alone business, with its headquarters remaining in Franklin, Tennessee. This move signals a commitment to preserving the established brand and expertise within the existing community.

Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. OM Partners, LLC served as the exclusive financial advisor to MEDHOST in this successful acquisition.
