What You Should Know:

– Pathway, an AI-powered medical knowledge platform, has secured $5 million in seed funding to expand its solutions and address information overload for healthcare professionals. The seed funding was led by Yamaha Motor Ventures, with participation from Verge HealthTech Fund, existing investors Amplify Capital, BoxOne Ventures, and Formentera Capital. Several physicians who have experienced Pathway’s benefits also backed the funding round.

– The funding will allow Pathway to expand its reach globally and make its platform more accessible to clinicians.

AI-Powered Medical Knowledge Platform

Pathway aims to organize the world’s medical knowledge, providing clinicians with tools to stay updated and make informed decisions for their patients. Pathway’s platform distills practice guidance from millions of evidence-based sources into concise summaries, aiding healthcare professionals in staying up-to-date and providing efficient, high-quality care. This solution addresses the challenge of information overload faced by healthcare professionals as medical knowledge continues to grow at an unprecedented rate.

Open Access & Availability

Responding to demand, Pathway is making its clinical decision support tool open access, ensuring that more healthcare professionals globally can benefit from quality medical evidence. The company is introducing Pathway AI in limited beta, its most advanced AI assistant and search tool to date, designed to assist clinicians with nuanced medical queries.

Benchmark Performance

Pathway’s clinical AI assistant demonstrated its capabilities by scoring higher than 97% of human test takers on the US Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), surpassing the accuracy of Google’s flagship medical Large Language Model (LLM), MedPaLM 2, on this benchmark.

Market Footprint

With over 350,000 verified clinicians from leading institutions, Pathway has become the fastest-growing network of verified clinicians. The funding will accelerate the rollout of Pathway’s technology, expanding its reach to clinicians globally and further improving its platform to enhance the daily experience of healthcare professionals.
