What You Should Know:

– Philips announced the launch of the Philips Medical Tablet, an end-to-end, easy-to-implement, portable monitoring kit that enables remote access to patient data and allows clinicians to care for patients outside of the hospital.

– Aiming to serve larger patient populations during emergency situations like the COVID-19 pandemic, the Medical Tablet helps reduce exposure and provide continuous, quality patient care.

Royal Philips, announced the launch of Philips Medical Tablet, an end-to-end, easy-to-implement, portable monitoring kit designed to help clinicians remotely monitor larger patient populations during emergency situations, like the COVID-19 pandemic. The new solution available in North America, Europe and Japan provides remote access to patient data to improve workflows to better manage increases in patient volume.

The COVID-19 pandemic brought on unique challenges for hospitals, including higher than normal patient volume in ERs, reduced bed capacity, and resource and personnel shortages – all with the added obstacle of creating separation between infected and non-infected patients. Through the use of remote technology and easily transferable tools, temporary and virtual care settings can be set up to address these issues. Built with both patient and clinician safety top of mind, the Philips Medical Tablet provides:

– Advanced XDS software, which can connect to multiple IntelliVue monitors in the same network, allowing clinicians to monitor multiple patients at once to reduce contact and lessen bedside interruptions.

– Easy-to-implement format, including a portable monitoring kit that can help clinicians quickly monitor a larger patient population.
