Cigna’s Evernorth Expands Digital Health Formulary with Addition of Omada MSK by Physera

– Cigna Corporation’s health services segment, Evernorth expands its digital health formulary with the addition of Omada MSK by Physera.

– Omada MSK by Physera joins Omada’s existing formulary programs for diabetes prevention, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.


Cigna Corporation’s health services segment Evernorth today announced the expansion of its industry-first Digital Health Formulary, adding Omada Health’s program for at-home physical therapy and personalized coaching for chronic pain to the platform. Omada MSK by Physera joins Omada’s existing formulary programs for diabetes prevention, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.


Evernorth Health Services Background

Evernorth provides a distinct and dedicated platform for the distribution of health solutions geared toward health plans, employers, and government organizations – inclusive of those without Cigna medical insurance. This enables Evernorth to partner deeply with, and provide unmatched and focused support to these groups, all guided by its unwavering commitment to make health care better. 

To date, health plans covering more than 20 million Americans offer solutions from Evernorth’s Digital Health Formulary to their members. Plan sponsors can choose to invest and deploy individual solutions, or a combination of programs on the platform. In addition to rigorous measurement from physicians, pharmacists, and health research scientists, programs on the formulary are also evaluated by user-experience experts. People using programs on the Digital Health Formulary may also receive support from specialist pharmacists to further optimize the potential health benefits of the chosen solutions.


Availability

The musculoskeletal program will be available to formulary customers beginning in 2021, giving Omada the broadest range of programs on the industry-leading platform. Created in 2019, the Digital Health Formulary features solutions that are evaluated and measured on clinical effectiveness, usability, scalability, and interoperability.
