SCL Health, Zocdoc Launches Real-Time Online Appointment Booking

SCL Health has launched real-time online appointment booking and verified physician reviews powered by Zocdoc, offering its patients seamless, anytime access to a select group of SCL Health providers. The announcements mark SCL Health as the first health system in the Colorado-Montana region to partner with Zocdoc.

Partnership Details

Through this partnership, patients will be able to find and digitally schedule appointments with participating SCL Health providers any time of day, even when the office is closed. The new SCL Health-Zocdoc partnership makes the process of finding a provider and booking an appointment fast and seamless. The typical patient booking via Zocdoc sees a provider within 72 hours – compared to the local average wait time in Denver of nearly four weeks. Zocdoc makes this possible by uncovering the ‘hidden supply’ of appointments in providers’ calendars caused by last-minute cancellations and reschedules – and surfacing this availability to patients seeking care.

How It Works

Desktop users can visit Zocdoc.com, and mobile users can download the free Zocdoc iPhone or Android app. There, users can search for providers by insurance, read professional profiles and verified patient reviews, see providers’ real-time availability, and make appointments instantly online. SCL Health primary care and OB-GYN providers are currently bookable via the online service across the Metro-Denver, Colorado area, with additional specialties being added in the coming months.

“Since launching just a few weeks ago, hundreds of patients have already used Zocdoc to access SCL Health providers. We are excited to be able to offer this service to help our communities find the care they need quickly,” said JP Valin, MD, Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer of SCL Health. “Partnering with Zocdoc advances SCL Health’s mission to provide easy access to high quality, person-centered care.”
