DocuTap Urgent Care EMR

DocuTAP, a provider of electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) software for urgent care centers, announced a strategic new partnership with Urgent Care Group (UCG), a Nashville-based urgent care company. Urgent Care Group will use DocuTAP companywide and has implemented DocuTAP’s EMR and PM software solutions in their seven MEDcare Urgent Care centers across South Carolina in Anderson, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston.

Prior to the acquisition of MEDcare Urgent Care earlier this summer, leaders at Urgent Care Group recognized a need for a partner that was adaptable to urgent cares and able to deliver both improved care and savings.

“Integrating different urgent care brands across multiple locations presents unique challenges, so implementing scalable and easy-to-use solutions like DocuTAP is extremely important to us,” said David Maloney, Founder, and CEO, Urgent Care Group. “DocuTAP does not use a one-size-fits-all approach and our team was able to tailor the platform to our unique operating model. Having this type of flexibility within the platform has allowed us to fully integrate the software into our workflow which helps us provide our patients with the level of care and service they deserve.”

The new partnership provides Urgent Care Group’s centers the benefits that urgent care-tailored EMR and PM solutions provide to both staff and patients. DocuTAP provides centers with paperless charting, templates and order sets, and center workflow customization – ensuring consistent, quality patient care. DocuTAP’s PM software helps shorten patient visit times with easy-to-follow scheduling queue, real-time insurance verification, and easy to read and customizable patient receipts.
