Texas Hospital Association is teaming up wih Nomad Health, an online marketplace directly connecting physicians with freelance clinical work to help Texas hospitals more efficiently and effectively fill temporary physician staffing positions. Nomad Health uses a simple and user-friendly digital platform to eliminate third-party recruitment brokers and directly connect physicians with the medical institutions that hire them. Both sides of the marketplace benefit from substantial time and cost savings.
Healthcare provider shortages and turnover are a growing problem in Texas, creating access-to-patient-care challenges across the state. Hospitals rely on freelance clinicians so they can maintain vital health care services in their communities. The short-term staffing industry, however, has been dominated for decades by middleman brokers who add costs and delays. As a result, hospitals are anxious for better, more cost-effective tools to help find and hire quality clinical talent.
“As a doctor myself, I’ve experienced far too many archaic recruitment and onboarding processes,” said Alexi G. Nazem, M.D., Nomad Health co-founder and CEO in a statement. “Nomad is a 21st century recruiting tool that makes finding and taking a job as easy as booking a vacation on Airbnb. With the time and money saved by using Nomad, clinicians and medical institutions can focus their efforts more directly on delivering outstanding patient care.”
