SyTrue

SyTrue, Inc., a healthcare data-refinement company, that specializes in natural language processing (NLP) solutions to translate unstructured clinical data into actionable clinical information, announced today, a partnership with National Billing Center, who provides cloud-based automation services for hospital billing.

National Billing Center (NBC) is leveraging a component of SyTrue’s proprietary smart data platform for the company’s hospital Coding Automation Tool (CAT). The technology collaboration will bridge SyTrue’s clinical documentation abstraction capabilities and National Billing Center’s coding workflows for improved clinical documentation and increased coder productivity.

This combined solution provides incredible benefits for medical groups and hospital systems.  CAT enhances billing and coding efficiencies as well as improves accuracy in claim submissions.  This automation accelerates the claim turnaround time and shortens the overall revenue cycle.  CAT also solves the complex issue of transitioning from ICD-9 to ICD-10 by providing both codes for every diagnosis found within the clinical document as well as the description of each code according to ICD-9 and ICD-10 standards, streamlining the process.

SyTrue’s smart data platform bstracts and normalizes unstructured and structured clinical data into well understood healthcare terminology by immediately converting the data into ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, RXNORM and SNOMED terms and coding systems. National Billing Center’s CAT product generates Diagnosis-related Group (DRG) codes based on procedures and diagnoses.  SyTrue’s smart data platform uses NLP technology to abstract text from clinical documents segregating the content into drug names, procedures, diagnosis, disorders, etc.  Each item is then verified within the National Billing Center’s comprehensive database and presented in a form that is easily reviewed by hospital billing staff prior to being automatically exported into the hospital’s EHR system.

“After researching many vendors, we are proud to partner with SyTrue.  The technology has proven to be scalable, maintains high accuracy levels across documentation types, is feature rich, and reliable. We are excited to provide our clients with an optimal solution to improve our customer’s efficiency, workflow, and bottom line.”  – Armen Geronian, CEO of National Billing Center
