Kyruus, a provider of Patient Access & Referral Management Solutions, announced today that it has partnered with Providence Health & Services, the third largest not-for-profit health system in the United States, to optimize access across its ACO network and provide an improved level of engagement to its consumers across the Northwest. This expanded engagement builds off the successful deployment of ProviderMatch for the Swedish Medical Access Center for the Providence-Swedish Health Alliance ACO.
The platform will now extend directly to consumers as part of the innovative ACO program that Providence announced last year to serve large employer groups, such as Boeing. Providence’s Digital Innovation Group worked closely with the Kyruus team to deliver a compelling patient search and match experience on the ACO website via the Kyruus API. This approach allows patients to access Kyruus technology via the API, while allowing Providence’s Digital Innovation Group to guide the user experience.
“Enabling patients to use data to find and connect with the right physician is important to our ongoing efforts to improve the consumer experience and help everyone in the communities we serve access care,” said Aaron Martin, senior vice president, of Strategy and Innovation for Providence. “We want to go beyond the status quo of provider search and provide thousands of ACO members accurate, up-to-date, and actionable information and tools that will allow them to access the right doctor. Kyruus helps us continuously reconcile and unify our vast provider data to build a single source of information, enable intuitive e-commerce-like tools across our system, and continuously change and improve the search and match experience for our patients.”
“The patient experience has become an indispensible component of hospital operations,” noted Kyruus CEO, Graham Gardner. “Coordinating care across multiple settings and providers requires advanced information management to ensure that every patient feels that they are special and important. As health systems build ACOs and narrow networks, it’s important that patients are matched with the right provider with the right clinical expertise, geography and availability. The work that Providence is doing to advance this mission is testament to their reputation as a visionary healthcare organization. We are thrilled to be joining them along the journey.”
