StartUp Health Unveils Newest Class of 13 Healthcare Transformers

StartUp Health Digital Health Funding Insights

StartUp Health, a global startup platform accelerating innovation in health and wellness, today announced the addition of thirteen new companies to its portfolio, bringing the total to 84 companies. The new companies represent a diverse range of sub-sectors, from big data and medication adherence to patient engagement and nutrition and includes four international companies, four based in the Midwest, and eight female founders. The New York based accelerator has the largest portfolio of digital health companies in healthcare and has assembled the largest global peer network of healthcare innovators.

“This new group of Healthcare Transformers represents the diversity of talent joining forces to reimagine healthcare,” said Steven Krein, co-founder and CEO of StartUp Health. “We’re thrilled that entrepreneurs from all over the world and from all different sectors, are bringing their expertise to healthcare. And we couldn’t be more excited about the community thats coming together to help startups scale and working together to transform the industry.”

The thirteen new StartUp Health companies include:

AprilAge – Visualization software for education. It uses your images to project what you will look like after years of sun exposure, heavy smoking and obesity to motivate healthy lifestyle.

Curatio – Brings together patients with similar conditions together on a mobile network.

DocEngage – CRM for healthcare with actionable patient data
Subsector: Practice Management

Fit4D – The device uses patient preferences to set up each participant with their own diabetes coach such as group interaction to reading to improve adherence.

Jaystreet Technologies – Manages patient appointments for healthcare providers by automating how cancelled appointments are filled , allowing customer service representatives to satisfy patients right in-front of or calling into them.

Kuveda– The company uses the patient’s molecular profile such as bio-markers, proteins, genes, pathways, specific molecules, to develop
personalized therapeutic cancer treatment options.

Nutrify – A mobile app that’s a diet planning tool for hospitals.

Personal Medicine Plus – The company helps patients monitor and enter their water and vegetable intake, create personalized health improvement plans. It also uses customized visual  health reminders to help reduce poor health behaviors.
